Up to £25,760.00 per annum, depending on experience
37.5 hours per week
Please note, shift pattern to be discussed but evening and weekend work will be required on a rota basis.

Keeping our Hospitals clean is a big priority for us. We are looking for a Housekeeping Team Leader who will help us to create a clean, safe and pleasant environment for patients by cleaning and preparing a range of areas, utilising the latest equipment, products and supported by a first-class training programme. You will take pride in your work and undertake a variety of general responsibilities ranging from room cleaning, waste removal, linen collection and deep cleaning.
As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will:
1. Guarantee that cleaning products are used effectively, with instructions and health and safety procedures being followed at all times.
2. Monitor and maintain stock levels for the team, ordering stock when required as advised by team and individual awareness.
3. Act as the point of contact for the reporting of problems within the work areas or equipment and liaising with the management team to advise.
4. Ensure Health and Safety and hygiene requirements within the area of responsibility are met.
5. Handle complaints within area of responsibility, either dealing with them directly or escalating as appropriate.
6. Liaise with other departments to ensure all service requirements are met.
7. Receive and check goods against purchase orders/delivery notes and deal with issues as they arise.
8. Deputise for line manager during periods of absence.
9. Manage the laundry supply and service to site.
10. Carry out regular cleaning audits monitoring performance and assessing cleanliness of the environment.
11. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, COSHH and Infection Control policies, reporting all incidents, accidents or defaults to line manager.
12. Take specific responsibility for Environmental cleanliness including the implementation of infection prevention policies and procedures, and to attend local Infection Prevention Team and Committee meetings, reporting audit findings and action plans.
13. Work alongside the housekeeping team, cleaning and preparing areas for which you are responsible following the required policies and procedures.
14. Perform any other cleaning duties that may reasonably be asked of you, including holiday and sickness cover and emergency Adhoc cleans.
15. Provide day to day supervision of the team of housekeepers, including work scheduling/rotas, induction, development and training, keeping individual staff records relating to annual leave and sickness absence.
16. Ensure work is carried out to deadlines and within agreed working practices and procedures.
17. Carry out regular one to one meetings with all team members.
18. Ensure that the housekeeping team are aware of responsibilities and duties to be carried out on a daily basis and monitor as appropriate.
19. Coordinate and undertake all domestic activities required to deliver a good service.
20. Assist with the recruitment and/or training of staff.
21. Provide team members with opportunities to contribute to the planning and organisation of their work, supporting them and giving clear, sensitive and appropriate feedback to help improve and develop.
22. Develop and explain plans and tasks, so that team members are fully aware of what is expected of them and are able to carry this out effectively.
23. Ensure that planned resources are available for people to use at the time they need them.
24. Address poor performance constructively and appropriately.
