In this role, you will sit within the Data Office leadership team and lead the Group’s data transformation journey, acting as the senior lead in transformation for Data as the Group significantly increases its data capabilities in line with its vision. Ensuring that the needs of the business are well understood and transformed into actions for the variety of teams and individuals that will work in the Data POD as transformation progresses. Your responsibilities will include… Driving Data Transformation roadmaps and their priorities, whilst ensuring initiatives deliver on time and to the expected quality Preparing, presenting and effectively communicating on data transformation issues and trends to senior forums and management committees Working with clients, existing asset owners & their service providers and non data staff to clarify and deliver work stream objectives Working closely with wider IT and Modernisation teams to ensure data security and cloud configuration always remains at an optimum performance to support data needs Owning the delivery lifecycle and methodologies to ensure consistency across the Group Leading a high performing team as well as managing the Data Transformations team’s workload Developing a plan in conjunction with HR for internal teams to train and migrate them to use modernised data platforms and solutions Continually look for innovative ways to make improvements based on the latest trends and research Researching and promoting relevant data tools and processes that contribute to increased efficiency and capability in support of corporate objectives Ensuring Data Governance standards, polices and controls are built into transformation efforts as well as ensuring adherence to data architecture standards and guidelines Travel will be expected to our Chatham and Wolverhampton offices with presence in London being required on a more frequent basis We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £120,000 - £150,000 and a competitive benefits package including: 30 days annual leave allowance £7,500 car allowance Discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 40% Annual LTIP opportunity of up to 40% Contributory pension (8% employer 5% employee) Life Assurance (4x salary) plus Group Income Protection Access to Private Medical Insurance and Medical Cash Plan Maternity & Adoption Leave - Occupational Maternity/Adoption Pay provided at 100% of salary for the first 26 weeks Paternity Leave - 8 weeks of paid leave to be taken within 12 months of birth or adoption Additional benefits such as Hybrid working, Cycle Purchase scheme, Technology Purchase scheme, Season Ticket Loan, Holiday purchase / sell schemes, Employee Perk Portals, Payroll giving and Save as you Earn scheme We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below: Previous experience leading a technical data team as well as project resources and budgets Experience managing large complex data projects including the design and development of data solutions Experience in data techniques and concepts including data ingestion, processing and storage Previous experience in cloud data transformation with Azure would be advantageous Line management experience of a technical team across multi sites is essential Strong knowledge of data solutions and an ability to translate this into solutions for the broader business We also believe that your career and how you progress is as unique as your individual personality.
