Reporting to the Finance Manager, the primary purposes of the role are:
1. Support corporate finance to deliver the statutory reporting for TT Games Group, including preparing relevant reconciliations as required.
2. Initial preparation of Video Games Expenditure Credit (VGEC) applications, reviews and reconciliations in conjunction with Director, FP&A.
3. Support Corporate Finance with preparation of tax forecast packs and statutory accounts.
4. Initial point of contact for external auditors, and responsible for dealing with business unit PBC requests.
5. Responsible for ensuring group balance sheet is reviewed, reconciled and unusual balances investigated.
6. Assist finance manager with forecast submissions.
Your Role Accountabilities...
1. Work with corporate finance and external auditors to deliver statutory accounts by the signing deadline, providing data, reconciliations and stat adjustments.
2. Work with the head of game to complete the application for the VGEC certificate, collating all the required information including apporting core and non core cost.
3. Monthly reconciliation and review of key balance sheet accounts, quarterly review of balance sheet accounts.
4. Update and review all forecast required for tax planning as per forecasting cycle.
5. Validate quarterly participation statement and prepare journal to recognise royalty payments for each video game title in the quarter. Work with Participation Reporting team to resolve queries when required.
6. Support Finance Manager to prepare and submit Capex budgets to Corporate Finance and enter Capex requests into Capital Budgeting system.
7. Maintain and update company Fixed Asset registry, including identifying and disposing of fixed assets that has fully depreciated and no longer used.
8. Code weekly open Item banking as required from issued report.
9. Take ownership for all national statistics reporting, include documenting the process and creating the reports to populate the data.
10. Support finance manager with forecast submissions as required.
11. Provide ad hoc support to the BU coders and PO requesters with issues.
Qualifications & Experience...
1. Part qualified Finalist/ New Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA).
2. Previous experience of preparing UK GAAP Statutory Accounts and liaising with external auditors.
3. Financial or Management Accounting experience is advantageous, some of which will have been in a US GAAP reporting environment, ideally with exposure to international operations.
4. Media, gaming or film production accounting would be advantageous.
5. Advanced knowledge for MS Office, including Excel level is essential and a proven ability to learn other PC application software.
6. Knowledge of SAP a distinct advantage.
7. Knowledge of Workday Adaptive an advantage, but not essential.
8. Proven ability to work independently and support other team members as appropriate.
9. Ability to communicate complex financial information to relevant internal and external parties.
10. Interpersonal skills and ability to influence both financial and non-financial people.
11. Proactive in seeking improvements to current accounting and participations procedures.
12. Proven track record in working to deadlines and under time pressure.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
