We would welcome applicants with an interest in teaching any subject at secondary level as the school is looking to extend the range of qualifications available to our young people. You will have the opportunity to work with other colleagues in Orkney’s two other Junior High schools. Our pupils move to Kirkwall Grammar School for S5 and we have close links with this school. This teaching position in Sanday offers the healthy balance of interesting, involving work and a tranquil peaceful environment within which to relax and enjoy. Sanday is a vibrant, fun island to live on. There is a strong community spirit island wide. A range of events occur over the course of the year involving everyone. The island has good transportation links to the mainland by sea or air. We are well resourced, having two shops and two post offices. Salary is based on the Main Grade Scale of the SNCT Salary Tables plus Distance Islands Allowance.
