As a key member of the three-person Actuarial Risk Team, you will be responsible for capital model risk management and the monitoring and reporting of risk metrics. This role offers significant exposure to critical business areas and senior stakeholders, with responsibilities spanning ORSA production, scenario analysis, and model validation.
Validation:
* Support the annual validation of the Lloyd’s syndicate capital model through comprehensive reviews of various model areas.
* Prepare risk reports for major model developments or re-parameterisations.
* Conduct lighter validation of other internally used capital models, along with in-depth reviews of actuarial and other business models.
* Work closely with model owners and stakeholders to deepen understanding of model mechanics and outputs, recommending improvements or raising issues as required.
Risk Metrics:
* Drive the development and enhancement of risk reporting dashboards across the business, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
* Engage with stakeholders to strengthen understanding of key risk metrics and provide incisive risk commentary.
* Prepare or oversee the preparation of quarterly risk metrics presentations for Risk Committees and Boards.
* Contribute to the annual review of risk metrics, ensuring their relevance, and develop new metrics and risk appetites where necessary.
ORSA:
* Play an active role in the annual ORSA process for four entities, focusing on the quantitative risk aspects.
* Track and maintain business risk profile inputs, ensuring quarterly updates on trend movements
Skills and Experience:
* At least 1 year of experience in a non-life actuarial function, whether in-house or consulting.
* Solid understanding of capital modelling principles, including proficiency with stochastic modelling techniques and aggregations.
* Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex risk issues.
* Excellent written communication skills, particularly in risk-related reporting.
* Progressing towards an Actuarial qualification.
* Highly organised with strong planning, time management, and multitasking abilities.
