Job Type: 12 months contract

Opportunity Overview: A fantastic opportunity has risen to temporarily join my client as a Finance Regulatory Specialist.
My client is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firm's employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments, and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 43 countries.
Role Objective: The Projects team is responsible for managing a considerable percentage of Finance’s technology spend, helping to deliver across a portfolio of projects including, Regulatory Capital, Leverage and Reporting, Financial Accounting and General Ledger renovation. The team supports EU, Global and local regulatory driven initiatives across Financial and Capital Reporting including Basel 3, Capital Calculators, FED, SEC, PRA & EBA reporting initiatives as well as FinRep, Bank Levy and Recovery & Resolution Reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partner with Project squads to identify new feed and feed change requirements across multiple product classes for governance.
2. Creation and maintenance of Regulatory Reporting feed data records, detailing feed metadata and associated controls.
3. Production of Feed governance approval materials for approval meetings.
4. Ensure approved feed metadata flow through appropriate systems (e.g. Metacentre, Collibra).
5. Support external regulator exam preparation.
6. Support fleet implementation of BCBS239 principles (focusing on governance and data lineage).
7. Partner with controller teams and IT to ensure relevant data controls and flows are captured and documented.
8. Develop collaborative relationships working across different departments and regions.
9. Take part in Squad/Fleet Agile ceremonies providing updates and reporting for stakeholders and Senior Management.
10. Issue Management managing, monitoring, and reporting on Finance data issues.
Requirements:
1. 3 – 6 years’ experience of Regulatory Reporting projects such as Finrep/CoRep would be preferred but experience within the wider Financial Regulatory space would be considered.
2. Understanding and experience of good governance, preferably data governance and data lineage.
3. Knowledge of Investment Banking business and related products.
4. Knowledge of traditional Project Management approaches.
5. Knowledge and application of BCBS239 principles.
6. Agile experience within a squad/Fleet.
7. Experience with metadata management tooling would be beneficial but is not necessary (e.g.: Metacentre, Collibra).
8. Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage to tight deadlines whilst balancing multiple priorities.
9. Strong analytical, organisational and documentation skills with an ability to understand processes and key controls.
10. Experienced in implementing change effectively to improve existing processes.
11. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to liaise with colleagues/clients of all levels.
12. Highly numerate with an attention to detail and accuracy.
13. Experience of Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Excel, Project, and Vision.
14. Experience of investigating, summarizing, and presenting results in a meaningful format to clients and Senior Management.
15. Confident and adaptable.
16. Solid analytical skills.
17. Team worker and well organized.
18. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
