This post is Fixed term/Secondment for 6 months until 24th April 2025 to meet the needs of the service.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our nurse-led team on Tudno Ward, Ysbyty Gwynedd. Tudno Ward is a busy forward-thinking unit which has 30 inpatient beds, focusing primarily on safe and effective discharge of day case elective surgery.
The post is for a permanent healthcare support worker with part-time hours available. To work on the ward, it will involve rotation onto night duty; the ability to have a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
The post holder will support the trained nurse and other healthcare professionals in the delivery of the highest standard of patient-focused care. They will assist in improving the quality of the fundamental aspects of Health and Social Care for individuals who are acutely or chronically ill, frail, or disabled.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the registered nurse in carrying out direct nursing care.
2. Perform patient observations: temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, and urinalysis following a period of on-job instruction and training.
3. Undertake delegated duties related to patient care that contribute to the ongoing support of patients.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
