SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Newham, East London
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you a compassionate and resilient individual who wants to make a real difference in young people's lives? We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive school community in Newham.
About the Role:
As a SEN TA, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, supporting their learning, development, and emotional wellbeing. You will work both one-to-one and within small groups to help students thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalised support to students with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement support plans
Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies as needed
Encourage independence, confidence, and a positive attitude to learning
What We're Looking For:
A patient, empathetic and understanding nature
A passion for supporting children with additional needs
Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff
