Primary School Key Stage 2 BSL Teaching Assistant (ASAP) - Broseley, Shropshire.
Are you passionate about supporting young learners? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join Aspire People to work in a school in Broseley, working in year 4 with a child who has a hearing impairment.
This role will be permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
* Help in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom activities.
* Support students during lessons, encouraging active participation and engagement.
* Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
* Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
* Supervise and support students during break times and outings.
* Collaborate with other staff members to share ideas and best practices.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
* Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
Requirements:
* A relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
* Level 2 British Sign Language, ideally Level 3
* A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them succeed.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
