Main Responsibilities as a Senior Network Engineer
* Network Deployment: Design, build, and maintain both production LANs and global WANs.
* Firewall Management: Implement tailored firewall rules to meet specific application requirements.
* Technology Exploration: Conduct lab testing and proof of concept (POC) evaluations for new technologies while excelling in hands-on CLI operations.
Core Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
Proven expertise in the implementation and support of:
* Wide Area Network Architecture: Designing and optimising WANs for performance and reliability.
* Network Routing Protocols: Strong knowledge of OSPF and BGP.
* VPNs & Network Security: Experience with VPNs (e.g., IKEv2) and next-generation firewalls (NGFWs).
* Configuration & Design Implementation: Creating and deploying configurations based on High-Level and Low-Level Designs.
* Data Centre Networking: Expertise in Spine/Leaf Fabric, EVPN, BGP, and Geneve protocols.
* Secure Communications: Working knowledge of High Assurance IP Encryptors (HAIPE).
* Automation & Orchestration: Proficiency with tools like Ansible and Terraform for network automation.
* Whitebox Infrastructure: Familiarity with platforms like Mellanox, Cumulus Linux, and Nvidia Networking.
* NSX Troubleshooting: Experience in the support and resolution of issues within NSX environments.
* Certifications: Cisco CCNP or equivalent practical experience.
