Network Flow CT is the central control center for Transportation Execution across Amazon's European Transportation Middle Mile network, supporting both domestic and inter-country transportation movements within Europe. The Control Tower Team manages sort center capacities in ATROPS, aiming to ensure uninterrupted sort center flows by managing virtual capacities, tracking inbound flows, and reacting to network disruptions that impact flow. The team plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth functioning of Amazon's European transportation network, directly impacting Amazon's ability to serve customers on time.
Purview of a Process Specialist
The Process Operations Specialist works across the EU in a cross-functional environment with Sort Centers, Forecasting, Supply Chain, and Fulfillment Centers to determine future demand for Sort Center capacity and translate this into accurate capacity plans. They maintain and report up-to-date statistics, management reports, and analysis. They facilitate information flow between stakeholders and resolve issues impacting customer experience and business continuity. The specialist provides timely resolutions by researching internal tools and making real-time decisions. An ideal candidate should understand requirements, analyze data for trends, and drive customer experience without compromising on time. Basic logistics understanding and clear communication skills are essential.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Understanding of analytical simulations and assessments, with the ability to quickly grasp business impacts and make data-driven decisions.
* Reporting and analysis using tools, portals, and reports; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and data-warehouse analysis.
* Pulling and reporting data from databases (Excel, Access, SQL) and performing ad hoc analysis as needed.
* Developing and understanding performance metrics to drive business results.
* Escalating problems or data variances to relevant teams and following through on resolutions.
* Scope out business and functional requirements for Amazon's technology teams to improve software systems and tools.
* Communicating with external customers.
* Providing real-time customer experience in a 24x7 operating environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics.
* Experience with Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with SQL.
