Have both clinical and operational responsibilities for Primary Care 24, working closely with the Director of Nursing Quality (DONQ), the Senior Nursing Team and the Quality Governance Team, collaborating with colleagues in the wider organisation, to ensure patient safety, service quality and excellent patient experience is maintained consistently. Be practicing within a clinical area with extensive experience. This includes a senior registered practitioner including Nursing, Allied Health Professional, Advanced Clinical Practitioner /Consultant Practitioner and to able to undertake clinical duties within Primary Care 24 as part of their work plan based on their clinical background. The ratio of patient-facing care and leadership will depend on key priorities and objectives; however, it is anticipated that this will be a 80:20 ratio of the role. This may change depending on the role requirements and will be defined and agreed with the DONQ. Provide professional leadership and ensure the development of nursing and AHP practice within the organisation and other relevant/related areas to facilitate the delivery of excellent clinical practice. Support the DONQ in the implementation and delivery of Primary Care 24s strategic plan, the Nursing and Quality strategy and objectives (transformation, performance, workforce development etc). Work in collaboration with the People Team and the Senior Leadership Team with a range of strategic and operational activities in supporting the development and management of the nursing and AHP workforce. Ensure the standards of care are a priority and competence in clinical practice is both developed and maintained to maximise patient experience, safety, and quality of service. Work in conjunction with Deputy Directors and Heads of Service to support and provide senior leadership and strategic direction across the organisation ensuring delivery of the quality, governance, performance, and transformation agendas are met. Develop, implement, and review Nursing and AHP policies and procedures for Primary Care 24. Represent the organisation at internal and external meetings that are delegated or deemed necessary by the DONQ. Participate in the on-call rota to provide senior support for the organisation in the out-of-hours period, reporting to the Executive Director on call. About you: Excellent understanding of Nursing, advanced practice and practice nursing in Primary Care, Urgent Care. Understanding of both Primary Care and Urgent Care and Community Beds (Care Homes, Intermediate Care) Comprehensive knowledge of patient safety systems and processes including clinical risk and safeguarding vulnerable people Excellent understanding in Professional Practice, workforce and clinical standards NMC pinned Registered General Nurse (RGN) with no restrictions Educated to masters degree level in health-related subject or equivalent experience Evidence of continuing professional development Knowledge of a wide range of infection control measures and management Detailed knowledge and understanding of current health & social care issues Whats on offer?
