If not, it is expected that you will have developed a solid understanding of the fundamentals of software development, as well as on-prem and cloud infrastructure, throughout your career. I’m looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join a top-tier, well-established FinTech firm specialising in SaaS products that deliver real-time market data and pricing, comparable with industry giants like Bloomberg and Reuters. With around 700 employees globally and its HQ in London, this company is a key player in financial technology. The Role: you’ll join a newly-formed team alongside a Senior Project Manager and a Senior Program Manager. The goal is to create a strong, tech-savvy, and change-focused team capable of taking on a wide range of tech/IT projects. We need experienced professionals who can hit the ground running, bringing their expertise and initiative without needing constant direction. This client is a SaaS company and you will be working on projects relating to their projects, such as; feature improvements, and managing CMS. Whilst liaising with Software Development Managers, C-Suite and other stakeholders that are involved in the creation of these applications. Example Projects: Content Management System upgrade project API Change System Pricing and data projects Working closely with the Senior Project Manager on multiple projects Launching new SaaS features Key Stakeholders: CIO, CTO Head of Information Security, Head of SRE, Head of IT Service and Applications Tech Managers and Architects Business Stakeholders Tech Vendors Our Client's Wishlist: Min 10 years of commercial experience Experience working on projects related to finance news, prices, analytics or commodities, Has worked for a number of different companies to gain experience in different operating environments, processes, stakeholders, delivery challenges etc. Have experienced the end-to-end software development lifecycle, so not just the requirements gathering but the whole delivery through the test, go live and post-go-live support and documentation and can operate in waterfall and agile or a hybrid e.g. endpoint agile. Experience with projects using Microsoft technologies and Azure and experience using Jira, Confluence, Miro and LucidCharts. Demonstrates a genuine interest in technology and new or emerging trends and tools and even better has some practical experience in software development which could have been in their spare time or part of their degree or been on a training course e.g. to create a website that reads from a database. Can understand relational database concepts, query using SQL and can manipulate a large data set for analysis, cleaning, transformation etc. Identifying, specifying, and managing changes to system interfaces e.g., data feeds, APIs, .csv, .txt and .xml files etc. Attention to detail to analyse a problem from every angle and validate any assumptions. About You: An experienced and proactive Senior Technical Business Analyst who can jump straight into projects without needing hand-holding. Have industry knowledge by having gained experience working in the Pricing Reporting Agency or companies on the LME or CME. Background in Financial Services, Commodities or Publication Platforms would be ideal.
