The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £15.52 - £16.58
Temporary maternity cover until 4th January .
This is a 39-week sessional post i.e., working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday, 08:30-15:30
Friday, 08:30-12:30
To start 19th May .
North Berwick High School is a secondary school in the beautiful coastal town of North Berwick, which received an excellent HMIE inspection report in June. The current school roll is. Expansion work to create more classrooms and improved facilities has recently been completed. The successful candidate will be line managed by the Faculty Leaders of Support for Learning and will work across the Guidance and Support for Learning departments as follows:
1. work with the Guidance team to support our drive to increase school attendance and reduce anxiety, supporting vulnerable learners to engage positively in learning
2. work within the Support for Learning team, supporting young people directly with assessment arrangements
3. spend time in our new Learning Hub provision, supporting an identified cohort to complete National Qualifications
Job Details
As part of the Pupil Support Team, provide support to secondary aged pupils (including Pupil Support Base) with a range of social emotional and behavioural difficulties in accordance with agreed aims, objectives and standards
