The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity to join a specialist technical consultancy and engineering firm that addresses some of the most complex challenges in the nuclear sector today. With four decades of experience in the UK, their teams combine their in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and processes with international expertise to provide a holistic and fully-informed approach to projects. They offer technically astute and forward-thinking services and solutions to the industry, making them an attractive company to work for. Due to this, they are currently looking for an proven Senior Process Engineer to contribute their expertise to a dynamic team.

This role will be based in either our Warrington or Oxfordshire office.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
* As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead a team of process engineers to deliver high-quality engineering design packages, ensuring they meet deadlines, cost targets, and quality standards.
* Tackle complex design challenges while providing expert advice and technical leadership.
* Play a pivotal role in shaping innovative solutions for internal and external clients.
* Deliver specialist design services to meet safety, cost, quality, and time requirements.
* Produce high-quality deliverables, such as drawings, reports, and calculations.
* Drive economic and efficient designs for systems and equipment.
* Oversee team members’ work, fostering their development and enhancing their skills.
* Offer advice on technical issues, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
* Participate in refining and applying technical and managerial processes within your team.
* Organise, supervise, and monitor team outputs to ensure successful project delivery.
* Identify significant technical uncertainties and escalate them appropriately.
* Travel to client sites as needed based on project requirements.
You will demonstrate the following

You will have the following qualifications and experience
* A BEng (Hons) or MEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering.
* Proven relevant experience as a Process Engineer, Chemical Engineer, or Design Engineer in the nuclear or a highly regulated sector.
* Chartered membership with IChemE (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in delivering technical documents and working collaboratively within a team.
All candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for SC clearance.
The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
