Description
Terra Viva Café and Deli has been serving up award-winning food since 1997. We are searching for a hospitality superstar to lead our front of house operations.
In this role, you will work closely with the Group Manager and Executive Chef, and be tasked with delivering a high-quality dining experience, where our customer needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
To thrive and be successful in this position, the following skills and experience are required:
* The ability to mentor and coach a front of house team to ensure the highest level of customer service is always provided.
* A warm, professional demeanor that enables you to build and maintain relationships with customers, direct reports, colleagues, and suppliers.
* You will need to be impeccably presented and energetic, with a ready smile. This is a role where you will be leading by example and during service times, meeting, greeting, and seating diners as they enter the Café.
* Experience in coordinating and hosting functions.
* You will have excellent time management and problem-solving capabilities that enable you to think on your feet and resolve issues that crop up during the day.
Other important attributes and qualifications you must have include:
* Fantastic communication skills.
* Barista skills and an excellent knowledge of the coffee, food, and beverage industries. An ability to pay attention to detail, ensuring the Café always looks its best and a high level of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained.
* A Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ).
* Duty Manager Licence (we will assist you in attaining your qualification and licence if needed).
* First Aid Certificate (we will send you on a first aid course if you don’t have a current certificate).
* A decent level of competency in using IT systems, including Word, Excel, and Point of Sale systems.
