JOB SUMMARY
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counts, receiving, storing, inventorying, and stocking incoming supplies. Distributes proper product and quantities according to requisition information.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks
* Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant materials to maximize availability of working capital
* Receive, unpack, count, inspect, identify and store materials, tools and equipment
* Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure
* Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received
* Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, pipe yards or other areas
* Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
* Mark materials, tools and equipment using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or other labeling equipment
* Issue or distribute materials, products, parts based on information from incoming requisitions
* Maintain records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment
* Maintain records to maintain inventory control, cost containment and to assure proper stock levels
* Review information data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions and other documents to assess supply needs
* Confer with purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability
* Maintain housekeeping duties within store rooms, warehouses and shipping/receiving areas
Education
* None Required.
Work Experience
* Experience with inventory software and computer systems and resolving inventory problems preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Knowledge of: materials, equipment and supplies procured through purchasing and materials
* Knowledge of: storeroom operations and purchasing process
* Knowledge of: ERP Systems
* Ability to: use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
* Ability to: use math skills
* Ability to: use office equipment applicable to position including computers and applicable software
* Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information
* Ability to: react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others
* Ability to: operate tools and equipment required
Licenses and Certifications
* Forklift Operator certification
* Scissor Lift Operation
