Responsibilities -
You will become a part of the Laboratory Products Division's Field Service team, servicing a range of equipment such as BSC's, Water purification, Centrifuges and CO2 Incubators. You can expect to be travelling up to 40% of your time to customer sites within the UK South region.
1. Performing field service activities, including on-site installation, validations, preventive maintenance and system repairs.
2. Solving a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.
3. Coordinating your own work schedule with direct colleagues, service operations and management.
4. Instructing customers in the use of our instruments to ensure safe and effective customer operations.
5. Providing proactive and responsive technical telephone and email support, ensuring that our customers are successful in the use of their instrumentation.
6. Producing timely and accurate reports of your activities: e.g. service reports and expense reports.
7. Assuring the highest level of Customer Experience to achieve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
8. Providing sales leads to account manager.
9. Providing feedback to support teams for correcting system documentation and updating procedures.
Person Specification
1. A qualification or equivalent experience in electronics/engineering or other applicable experience in a high-tech environment.
2. Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
3. Experience in a scientific or engineering related field (e.g., clinical/research laboratories, electronics, biotechnology, medical devices, engineering or related fields).
4. Customer-focused with strong communication skills and ability to establish relationships with customers.
5. Can-do attitude with the ability to handle multiple tasks with contending priorities.
6. Driving license required.
7. Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and in writing.
8. Independent, service-minded and informative in the approach towards customers.
9. Highly organized, on top of things and in control of administrative work, including service reports and customer queries, also when being in the field and the pace are high.
10. A strong team contributor, working remotely with the ability to connect with colleagues in the region.
11. Commercial mentality.
12. A natural curiosity about staying up to date with trends in technology and IT.

1. Up to £40,000 dependent on experience!
