About the role: As a Transportation Engineering Technician, you will support senior staff with technical expertise across various projects and consultancy commissions. You’ll develop and manage traffic, parking, and highway schemes from inception to completion, focusing on road safety, walking, cycling, and public transport improvements. Responsibilities include collecting and analysing traffic and transport data, presenting findings through maps, graphs, and reports, and producing design drawings for all project stages, from feasibility to detailed design. What we are looking for: Understanding of highways and traffic engineering techniques and principles of transport planning. Relevant Degree or HND/ HNC (preferably in engineering/ geography) or equivalent qualifications. Consideration will be given to relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification. Experience with AutoCAD and road safety audits are desirable Full UK driving licence is essential. Enthusiastic and can-do attitude. Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues. Ability to work to deadlines and use own initiative Strong communication skills Strong numeracy skills including the ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret transport information accurately What’s in it for you?
