About the role We are a leading business school and this role sits within the recently expanded Research Office at the School of Management. In the last Research Assessment Exercise, we were ranked 7 th in the UK for research quality out of 108 submissions. We have ambitious plans to further strengthen our research quality and we are looking for someone with a passion for managing research information and data analysis who can help us to achieve this. The role is offered as a full-time (36.5 hrs) fixed-term contract to cover maternity. This role will work to ensure that the information we hold about the research undertaken in the School is as accurate and as accessible as possible. You will be responsible for: Managing our outputs and environment data for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) Providing output and research data for rankings and drafting relevant sections of the submissions Managing research information required for business school accreditations, including EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB, and providing draft content for submissions Providing research reports to the Dean and the Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee Preparing funding reports Managing event and marketing data The ideal candidate will have a passion for research information and data analysis. You will: have a first degree or equivalent experience in data analysis and have experience working in an administrative role be able to communicate data and information in a variety of ways to a variety of audiences. have strong IT skills and be able to demonstrate exceptional Excel and spreadsheet skills. be able to juggle a varied workload and respond quickly to new opportunities. need excellent time management and organisational skills. You will work across multiple professional service teams including the School Research Office, the Dean's Office, colleagues who work on rankings, Research Analytic Librarians and colleagues who work on research information within the University Research and Innovation Service (RIS).
