Leigh Academy Rainham is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Teacher of Textiles to join our thriving Design and Technology department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual to inspire students and help them explore their creative potential in the world of textiles.
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can engage students in both the practical and theoretical aspects of Textiles, helping them develop both their technical skills and their creative thinking. If you are passionate about the subject and enjoy working in a supportive and collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons in Textiles at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential for teaching Key Stage 5.
• Encouraging students to develop their creative skills through both practical projects and theoretical knowledge.
• Managing classroom resources and ensuring students have access to high-quality equipment and materials.
• Regularly assessing and tracking student progress, offering support and interventions as necessary.
• Contributing to the development of the curriculum and ensuring that the department continues to evolve with emerging trends in Textiles and Design.
