We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our client’s dedicated team in Banbury. Our client is a respected provider of care services, committed to delivering outstanding support to individuals with a range of needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with leadership experience to take on a vital role, ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to those in need within the community.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and support a team of support workers, ensuring they deliver person-centred care and meet the needs of individuals.
2. Work closely with service users to develop and review personalized care plans that align with their preferences and goals.
3. Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility support, and helping with social or recreational activities.
4. Ensure all care tasks are carried out in line with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
5. Lead by example, ensuring that care is delivered with empathy, respect, and dignity.
6. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for both service users and staff, adhering to health and safety standards.
7. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior staff, helping them to develop their skills and progress in their roles.
8. Engage with families and external agencies to ensure collaborative and comprehensive care.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Proven experience in a Senior Support Worker or similar role within a care setting.
2. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
3. Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring a team.
4. A genuine passion for supporting individuals to live independently and achieve their goals.
5. Knowledge of care standards, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety regulations.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with service users, families, and professionals.
7. Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or other complex needs.
2. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
3. Commitment to personal development and ongoing training.
