The Service: The Stronger Futures Academy is the umbrella for development and support for the Children and Families workforce. We deliver a comprehensive programme of support and training for Newly Qualified Social Workers across children and adult services. Your New Role: You will primarily support the coordination of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) for newly qualified social workers (NQSW's) in Adults and Children Services. You will ensure funding requirements are met, quality checks on assessment are made and NQSWs are supported to produce a portfolio of assessed work. You will link with regional colleagues to ensure consistency of approach, enable and facilitate reflective practice through action learning, and support staff to implement restorative practice.
You have knowledge of services provided by local government including health and social care, and an awareness of legislation and guidance related to local government including health and social care services. You have previous project management experience or can demonstrate the ability to solve complex issues in a logical way. You can interpret data, provide written reports, deliver presentations and use effective research skills. You have good influencing and negotiation skills and can provide coaching and mentoring support to staff at all levels. You have previous experience of workforce development, a passion for the development of people, and a willingness to learn and develop your own skills.
