Requirements Eng Tech Qualification or NC/HNC Civil Engineering with seven years experience, or equivalent in a science/engineering related subject, or equivalent experience in an equivalent technical role. Previous experience of working in a testing laboratory, preferably a construction materials testing laboratory. Experience of working with a quality management system. Experience of working within a UKAS Quality System. Good all round technical and administrative skills. General IT skills with MS Office software, digital media, smart phones etc. Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative appropriately. Awareness of Health and Safety at work requirements. Knowledge of Technical Specifications, Design Standards and Codes of Practice would be an advantage. Experience of sampling and testing construction materials. Given the rural nature of the area covered by this post, the post holder may be required to have a valid driving licence to enable them to carry out their duties.
