Job Description: Content development, curation and management are critical to every function of the Vertex marketing team. Through content we share our story and create value for our target audiences and the business. We’re looking for a seasoned content creator to implement relevant and engaging content plans, and ensure consistency of messages across product lines, business units and regions. As a Content Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external thought leaders globally to create, source, write, curate, edit, and produce compelling stories that drive increased brand awareness and lead conversion. This position is equal parts skilled storyteller, project manager, critical thinker and marketer. In this role, you will translate complex ideas into compelling, audience-centric content to be shared across various marketing channels and regions. To be successful in this role, you have a solid understanding of global B2B content marketing and integrated, multi-channel programs. This role requires strong collaboration and the ability to deliver results through cross-functional alignment and communication—and great content. You will work closely with the Demand Generation, Digital Marketing, Sales Enablement, Public Relations and Product Marketing teams to create, distribute, and optimize content that drives engagement and supports our global go-to-market strategies. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: Execute content marketing strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement Work collaboratively with Solutions Marketing to support the development of messaging, value propositions, and marketing content. Understand and leverage global industry trends, the corporate brand and solution value propositions to ensure content quality and relevance in content creation. Manage the development and optimization of high-quality content that is aligned to Vertex’s market positioning and drives awareness and engagement with our ideal customer profile. This includes ideating and researching content topics and working with the relevant resources to execute. Maintain a robust content roadmap and editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of content to support thought leadership, product launches, and other integrated marketing programs. Craft a rich, continuous pipeline of compelling content in support of overall go-to-market strategy and plans to build awareness, generate leads and drive conversions. Work cross-functionally to build and source cohesive content for integrated campaigns in accordance with customer journeys, editorial calendar and campaign strategy. Manage outsourced freelance writers, syndicators and research firms to support content creation. Experienced with content creation to engage and influence targeted personas at every stage of the buyer journey. Content formats can include: case studies, industry reports, ebooks, webinars, videos, blog posts, info graphics and more. Approach storytelling opportunities journalistically, asking informed questions to understand how initiatives intersect with the company’s mission. Recommend best practices and proactively recognize opportunities to reuse, repackage and optimize content to maximize return on the company’s content investment. Continually raise the bar on development of compelling, data-driven storytelling with a brand and customer focus. Establish performance metrics aligned with business objectives to measure content effectiveness and message pull through. Integrate keyword strategy into overall content planning for programs and campaigns to optimize search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) initiatives Conduct tracking, reporting and investment analysis – deriving. data-driven insights to optimize content strategy and improve ROI. Translate product value propositions and messaging into clear and compelling content that drives awareness and action. Understand and organize data, research, and information provided by stakeholders, and structure it into a compelling story. Serve as a company-wide steward of the brand, supporting copyediting and proofing as needed. Evangelize and educate the organization on audience-centric content strategy best practices as well as the corporate brand and content governance. Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to lead content initiatives that reflect our unique business value, company initiatives and market trends. Grow personal network outside of marketing and leverages those relationships to enhance content planning and identify new opportunities for growth.
