Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Leeds
Salary: 80-85
Type: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2025
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assist with the planning of learning activities by identifying and preparing resources required to support lesson plans and learning outcomes.
* Support pupils' achievements by monitoring, assisting, and maintaining strong communication with the class teacher.
* Lead individual/small groups of children in teacher-led learning activities such as reading, phonics, and math interventions.
* Maintain classroom resources and prepare materials (e.g., books, pencils, art supplies, games, P.E. activity setup, etc.).
* Support children with their independence and confidence both inside and outside of the classroom.
* Encourage children through play-based learning both indoors and outdoors, helping to develop their social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Non-Negotiables:
* Must have recent and relevant experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
* Experience in EYFS, Nursery, or KS1 settings.
* Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills in line with the National Curriculum.
* A valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one.
* Two professional references.
* Teaching Assistant Qualification.
