As a Senior Project Manager within the Property & Business Support team, you will be responsible for the management and successful implementation of the corporate landlord model for South Gloucestershire council. You will work with colleagues from across the authority to ensure the project is delivered effectively and on schedule by achieving key objectives and providing value for money.
The corporate landlord model for managing a corporate estate involves centralising the ownership and management of all property assets under a single entity or department within an organisation. This approach leads to many benefits, including a single point of accountability for property management, ensuring better oversight and control, reducing risks associated with property management.
Key Responsibilities
* This role is pivotal in centralising property management, enhancing operational efficiency, and aligning our property assets with strategic business goals.
* As the project lead, you will oversee the end-to-end implementation of the corporate landlord model, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
* You will be responsible for strategic planning, developing and executing strategic plans for property management, including acquisitions, disposals, and long-term maintenance.
* Stakeholder management is key to this role, and you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for the project.
* A key focus will be operational efficiency and streamlining property management processes to achieve cost savings and operational improvements.
* You will use data-driven decisions and utilise data and technology to inform decision-making and optimize property performance.
* Undertaking risk management, you will identify and mitigate risks associated with property management and project implementation.
Minimum Requirements
* It is essential that you have previous experience of working within a property team and implementing complex property-specific projects within a large organisation.
* You must have a recognised project or programme management qualification such as Prince2 (Agile) or APM.
* We require you to have both knowledge and experience of working with specific performance improvement tools and strong ICT skills.
* You must possess excellent strategic awareness with experience of working in a political environment.
* You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, influencing and persuasive.
* It is essential that you can work to strict deadlines, managing a demanding workload and prioritising accordingly.
