English Teacher

Salary: 160-210 per day (depending on experience)
Monday-Friday 8:00am-3.30pm

The job
* The school is looking for someone who is passionate about English, to provide the very best opportunity for students across the school.
* In this exciting role, you will contribute to the strategic direction of your subject development, lead training programmes, and enhance teaching pedagogy and practice across the school.
* Provide expertise in delivering exceptional, engaging, and ambitious lessons that allow colleagues to learn and grow their practice.
* Provide outstanding teaching for learning that meets the needs of all students.
* Support the school in raising standards of teaching and learning across the department and in monitoring progress towards agreed aims.
* Provide specialist subject expertise to assist departmental staff, as appropriate.
* Support and hold other staff accountable through teaching and learning programmes.
* Support the school in the implementation of agreed whole school policies and initiatives.
* Plan and facilitate professional learning workshops as requested.
The successful candidate will
* Hold a teaching qualification (QTS).
* Hold a degree or equivalent.
* Have outstanding teaching practice.
* Have excellent behaviour management skills.
* Have experience of lesson observations and providing robust feedback.
* Have experience in improvement planning.
* Have experience of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success.
* Contribute to the impact on the quality of learning, teaching, and curriculum.
* Have a proven track record of excellent results at KS3/4.
* Have experience of high-quality pupil tracking and feedback practices.
