Future career opportunities as part of a fast growing business Day to Day Duties Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transport operations comply with UK and EU transport regulations, including DVSA standards, road transport laws, and food transportation guidelines. Fleet Management: Oversee the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained, meet legal requirements, and are scheduled for regular servicing and inspections. Auditing & Documentation: Conduct regular audits of transport records, including driver logs, driving licences, tachographs, maintenance records, and vehicle inspections, ensuring full traceability and compliance with statutory requirements. Training & Development: Provide training to drivers and operational staff on transport regulations, safety standards, and best practices to improve compliance and reduce risk. Driver Management: Monitor driver performance to ensure compliance with working time regulations and safe driving practices. Address non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions where necessary. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare compliance reports and ensure timely submission to regulatory bodies. Analyse transport operations to identify areas for improvement and ensure continual compliance. Health & Safety: Promote a strong culture of health and safety, ensuring that transport operations are carried out safely and in accordance with legal requirements and best practices. Liaison with Authorities: Act as the primary point of contact for DVSA and other regulatory inspections or audits related to transport operations. Essential Skills Qualifications: A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Transport Management is essential. International CPC is required Experience: Proven experience in a Transport Compliance or Fleet Management role, preferably within foodservice or logistics. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK and EU transport regulations, including driver hours, tachograph requirements, vehicle inspections, and safety standards. Skills: Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex compliance issues. Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams and liaise with regulatory authorities. Leadership: Experience in managing a team, with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop staff. Qualifications: A qualification in Transport Management (e.g., CPC) is essential. Knowledge of Food Transport: Experience in compliance within the food or temperature-sensitive transport industry would be advantageous. What training is provided?
