Learning & Development Advisor Part Time: 2-3 days per week Salary : £29,000 - £31,000 inclusive of car allowance (pro rata) Reporting to our Director of HR & Training - our Learning & Development Advisor role is vital to ensure that employees & managers are trained to meet mandatory requirements and enabled to develop in their roles and ongoing careers with us. Our team ensure competence in the workplace through partnership working with managers. Key responsibilities and duties for this part time role: Deliver our Care South Induction programme - which incorporates the Care Certificate Standards. Delivery of a wide range of courses (using a variety of methods) - taking account of good practice and different learning styles and utilising a range of resources. Deliver mandatory courses in a variety of venues, including our Head Office in Poole, our residential homes, and Care at Home offices. Ensure that your own subject expertise is kept up to date. Assist with the development of new course materials and ensure existing course materials are kept up to date. Ensure all course participants complete appropriate records of training, training assessment and relevant training materials as required. Evaluate the effectiveness of the course delivery and content for future planning. Conduct on-the-job observations and assessments of competency of employees who have attended training. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: You will need have already have a minimum of 12 months experience in a residential or domiciliary social care role – together will experience in delivering training within social care. You will already have achieved a “Train the Trainer” qualification and/or accreditations – you need the knowledge and understanding of how adults learn. We need you to be fully competent in Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Naturally you will have the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of training course attendees and colleagues. Full driving licence and your own transport is essential for this role due to the requirement to travel within both the residential homes portfolio and Care South at Home offices. Our main portfolio is located across the BCP area, but also includes residential homes in North Devon and West Sussex.
