Join Gloucestershire County Council in a vital role within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to enhance our team, dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in Gloucestershire.
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Work closely with children, young people, and their families, as well as other staff within the service function and partner agencies, to provide support and protection.
2. Promote a range of services which carry out statutory duties as required by legislation and guidance.
3. Assess the needs of children, young people, and families to plan and implement suitable multi-agency interventions and service provisions to meet needs and review outcomes.
4. Build positive relationships through direct work to ensure that the voices, wishes, and feelings of children and their families are heard.
5. Prepare high-quality reports for relevant meetings and present them to a variety of other professionals.
6. Update and maintain high-quality case files on LiquidLogic, ensuring all key information about the child’s circumstances and plans are recorded within timescales.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Social Work England registration.
2. Recognised qualification in Social Work.
3. Passed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
4. Significant experience of working with children, young people, and families in a social care setting.
5. Experience of child protection and statutory childcare.
6. Knowledge of all relevant legislation and guidance.
7. Effective assessment skills relating to work with children and families.
8. Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
9. Full driving licence and willingness to drive.
10. DBS clearance.
