Based in Doncaster our Bentley Works Facility provides a huge range of manufacturing, engineering and maintenance services, using specialist equipment and precision tooling. The facility provides the main hub for internal piling and foundation equipment.
We employ a multi-skilled team of mechanical and civil engineers at the South Yorkshire site. Their expertise includes production design, fabrication, welding, electrical engineering, hydraulics and computer numerical control machining. The over-riding responsibility of a Fitter is to carry out maintenance and repairs to plant and equipment to the required standard, as directed by the Fitting Shop supervision.
You’ll:
1. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs of all mechanical aspects of the plant and ancillary equipment within the depot.
2. Fixed mechanical installation work
3. Utilise diagnostic technology to test, inspect and diagnose faults on plant and ancillary equipment.
4. Plan, prioritise and schedule the flow of work on a daily basis.
5. Progress the work / job from initial inspection through to final inspection and sign-off.
6. Identify, record and requisition repair items / parts as required, ensuring continuity of the work.
7. Travel to sites to carry out repairs, inspections, testing and servicing as required.
8. Report to supervision about any training needs to develop full skills set required for the role.
9. Occasional UK wide travel expected.
We’re looking for:
10. Required: City & Guilds / NVQ L3 or equivalent in Plant Maintenance or Fitting
11. Desirable: Knowledge of all types of piling / ground engineering rigs and equipment
12. Health and Safety trained - CSCS card.
13. Experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment.
14. Environmental awareness
15. Manual handling
