We are looking for an Assistant Head Housekeeper to join a team of distinguished hospitality enthusiasts. The hotel has recently reopened following a full hotel refurbishment. Our goal is to create the greatest golf hotel experience in the world.
What will I be doing?
* Manage the day to day operation; leading and supervising a large team of Room Attendants to achieve our high standards of cleanliness.
* Deliver daily briefings with the Room Attendant team, highlighting VIPs and setting daily initiatives.
* Enhance your attention to detail, to help drive cleanliness and presentation results.
* Develop your communication skills and liaise with other departments in the hotel, helping to deliver smooth service to all guests.
* Inspect guest rooms and public areas, with a focus in providing empathic experiences for our guests.
* Coaching Room Attendants throughout the daily operation, providing feedback to enhance quality of their work.
* Responsible for recruiting the best new talent for our housekeeping team.
* Ensure all equipment is in good working order and arrange repairs where necessary.
* Oversee the retrieval, safekeeping and distribution of all lost and found items.
* Be aware of current standards of competitor hotels.
* Deputise where relevant for the Executive Head Housekeeper.
* Ensure that all Health & safety requirements are met to ensure a safe environment is provided and all our legal obligations met.
* Report faults and maintenance issues to ensure we maximise our bedroom availability.
* Attend and participate in daily and monthly meetings for preparation; you’ll have a vital role in the setup and service of the hotel, maintaining and continually improving our standards and the quality of our service, consistently exceeding our guest expectations.
* Ensure operating costs are managed effectively; you’ll have responsibility for stock take completion and stock orders in the most organised and efficient ways.
* Always warm and thoughtful, you and your team will make sure all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly, effectively and professionally.
* You’ll check all areas before, during and at the end of each shift, ensuring high standards are maintained; you’ll also carry out daily maintenance and cleanliness checks across all areas of both guest and colleague facing areas.
* Playing a pivotal role in ensuring the motivation of our team, you’ll work with them, fully involved in their coaching, training and development.
* Interact with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations.
