Our client is currently hiring for a Development and Partnerships Officer to join their team. Role Overview: This role involves identifying funding opportunities, crafting compelling cases for support, and arranging engaging events for both existing and potential partners. You will also contribute to external campaigns, including a significant upcoming capital appeal, working in collaboration with the Communications team. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with the Operations and Finance teams to understand the charities services and funding needs, ensuring timely and accurate programme information is shared for funding applications and reporting. You will support the Development & Partnerships Lead and other team members in drafting Trust and Foundation applications and other fundraising activities as needed. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Development & Partnerships Lead and Director of Development & Partnerships to develop and deliver an operational plan with a focus on achieving income targets. Identify and pursue opportunities for funding, creating compelling cases for support. Organise and execute events for current and prospective partners, ensuring they are engaging and productive. Work with the Communications team to contribute to external campaigns. Collaborate with the Operations and Finance teams to understand the charity’s services and funding needs, facilitating the sharing of information for funding applications and reporting. Support the development of Trust and Foundation applications and assist with other fundraising activities as required. Establish and strengthen relationships with new and existing partners. Prepare high-quality communications, proposals, and presentations that reflect a deep understanding of young people's needs and align with the charity’s fundraising goals. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience in fundraising, business development, or partnerships. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals, cases for support, and event materials. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining clear records. A collaborative team player who can work cross-functionally with various departments, including Communications, Operations, and Finance. Knowledge of the charity sector, particularly related to funding and development, is desirable. Confidence in public speaking and delivering presentations to a wide range of audiences.
