Procurement Manager - Infrastructure
Location - Suffolk
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our Infrastructure division in Suffolk. As Procurement Manager, you will be based on a new £100m+ NEC3 contract in the Suffolk area.
Supported by the Senior Procurement Manager, you will work collaboratively with the wider commercial and operational site team in order to drive the project forward and deliver successfully.
1. Supporting both pre-contract and delivery teams, our Procurement Managers are responsible for the timely and advantageous procurement of subcontracts and major materials on their respective projects, to include the following.
2. Collaborate with pre-contract and senior teams on packaging strategies and addressing market dynamics and resource scarcity.
3. Develop and manage procurement schedules, leading weekly meetings to align activities with project timelines and budget.
4. Lead the full ITT process, including pre-qualification, evaluations, negotiations, and securing approvals.
5. Manage supplier and subcontractor performance, addressing issues and contributing to trend analysis.
6. Provide procurement expertise, coordinating with material and plant buyers and supporting Group procurement activities.
7. Advocate for procurement best practices, ensuring compliance and driving process improvements.
8. Represent projects at networking and 'meet the buyer' events, aligning with project/client strategies and promoting company values.
About You:
1. Ideally candidates will be MCIPS qualified (or working towards their CIPS qualifications)
2. Ideally candidates will have previous experience working in the Civils / Infrastructure sector although we are open to other backgrounds
3. Ideally the candidate will be based locally to the project however we are open to flexible / hybrid working and can offer subsistence for the right person
