The special school offers fantastic training in behaviour support and mental health, preparing you to support these students to the best of your ability.
The role will include liaising with external parties such as psychologists and healthcare professionals, rolling out EHCPs, and dealing with families. This opportunity to work with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs is available to start ASAP and will be a full-time, permanent position. The school will consider pastoral support workers at both a graduate level as well as those who have experience working with SEN or children in general. Most importantly, your passion for helping young people with mental health is at the heart of everything they do!
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will support the emotional development, behavioural needs, and academic development of the students, overcoming barriers to learning and promoting self-esteem.
