A fantastic SEN school in Littlemore, Oxford is searching for a Pastoral Support Worker to work closely with their students with learning disabilities and social, emotional, and mental health needs. They are looking for a compassionate, resilient individual who is willing to learn. The special school offers fantastic training in behaviour support and mental health, so you will be prepared to support these students to the best of your ability.
The role will include:
1. Liaising with external parties such as psychologists and healthcare professionals
2. Rolling out EHCPs
3. Dealing with families
This opportunity to work with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs is available to start ASAP and will be a full-time, permanent position. The school will consider pastoral support workers at both a graduate level as well as those who have experience working with SEN or children in general. Most important to the school is your passion for helping young people with mental health, as the children are at the heart of everything they do!
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will be supporting the emotional development, behavioural needs, and academic development of the students, overcoming any barriers to learning and promoting self-esteem.
