About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team, overseeing construction projects involving multi-room buildings such as student accommodation, care homes, and apartment complexes. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional to play a key role in the successful delivery of high-value projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with contractual obligations.
Whilst this role will be initially based around the East Midlands area, the scope of work can across Midlands and the North West so there will be an expecation for travel as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Lead project teams, liaising with site managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
Monitor project progress, addressing any risks or issues that may arise and implementing effective solutions.
Ensure all health & safety, quality, and regulatory requirements are adhered to across all projects.
Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Assist in project planning, cost control, and resource allocation to optimise efficiency and profitability.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry, with a strong background in multi-room projects such as student accommodation, care homes, hotels, or residential developments.
Excellent knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts and a strong understanding of contractual obligations.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate teams effectively.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Relevant qualifications in construction, contract management, or project management.
A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
