St Ninian’s Primary School is a denominational primary school serving the communities of Dedridge, Adambrae and Murieston. The school roll is 245 and children are organised into 11 classes. The Headteacher, Acting Depute Head and Acting Principal Teacher work alongside the dedicated staff team of teachers and pupil support workers. The school also had an ELC setting with an Early Years Officer, Early Years Practitioners and pupil support workers.
St Ninian’s Primary School is at the heart of the community and has strong links with its cluster schools and with the feeder secondary school, St Margaret’s Academy. The catchment area is wide spread and has a diverse and multi-cultural school community. 21% of learners have English as an additional language. At the heart of the school’s vision are Christian values and a strong Catholic ethos, which forms a community of faith and learning. Partnership working and creative self-evaluation approaches are central to the success of the vibrant learning community.
A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate.
The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18.
