Our Client, a leading Multinational Company in the Retail & Wholesale Industry, is currently looking for a:
Transportation Network Manager
Reporting to the Logistics Network Director, the resource will oversee the local network design, transportation strategy, service and cost performances, having internal and external contacts with suppliers and corporate teams (Transportation, Supply Chain, Business, EMEA Logistics, Logistics Sourcing, Cost Controlling, IT).
Areas of responsibility:
• Monitors carriers’ performance and service levels for all product categories distributed locally, reporting any deviation to agreed SLAs; works on corrective action plans in case of under-performance;
• Tracks and reports service and quality performances and claims;
• Acts as a single point of interface for both internal and external customers. Develops transportation methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness and contributes to meet the delivery requirements of the customer,
• Owns the local Transportation cost budget. Performs cost analysis on transportation expenses and recommends changes to meet industry “best practice”, in cooperation with the Logistics Sourcing department.
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Economics or related field
• Min 5-6 years of experience in Transportation Management / Organized Logistics field
• Knowledge of Transportation and Logistics industry. Background in large omnichannel business distribution companies (Wholesale, Retail, eCommerce) is considered a plus
• Strong analytical, facts and figures-based capabilities; strategic thinking; influencing skills
• Experience on stakeholder management in complex global environments
• Good communicator across all levels, both towards internal stakeholder and external Suppliers
• Ability to manage complexity; problem-solving and self-management skills
• Fluent in English; nice to have Italian, French
• Proficient using MS Office
• Available for Business trips
Salary package: 65,000 GBP + 10% Bonus
