Science Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Levenshulme

About the Role:
As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality science education across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a supportive school environment while inspiring students to develop a passion for science.
Key Responsibilities:
* Classroom Support: Assist teachers during science lessons, ensuring students stay engaged and on track with their learning.
* Small Group Interventions: Deliver targeted support to small groups of students, helping to close attainment gaps in key scientific concepts.
* One-to-One Support: Work with individual students who require extra assistance in understanding complex topics or improving their practical skills.
* Practical Lessons: Help set up and manage science experiments, demonstrations, and equipment, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
* Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources that enhance the learning experience.
* Mentorship: Act as a role model and mentor, inspiring students to take an interest in science and pursue their academic goals.
* Progress Monitoring: Track and report on students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and suggesting strategies for improvement.
* Behaviour Management: Support students in maintaining focus and positive behaviour in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
