Job description Site Name: UK - Hertfordshire - Ware Posted Date: Dec 20 2024 The Production Management Associate role sits within the OSD (Oral & Solid Dose) manufacturing stream at GSK’s Manufacturing Site at Ware. The role operates to a flexible member of the production team to contribute to the team’s aims for Customer Service, Safety, Cost and Quality targets. Specifically you will act as the area owner of manufacturing and/or packaging operations to coordinate team-members (within their zone of responsibility and the team as a whole) and facilitate the manufacturing process. Your role helps to ensure performance and development are balanced and delivered across the team (in line with personal and company goals), whilst also performing and developing as a member of the team. You will need to be flexible in your approach (to meet business requirements and to manage area projects -as required). You will spending circa 70% of your time on the shop floor with the team, ensuring reliable communication and setting a positive tone for the team you work with (continuously displaying behaviours that are consistent with GSK’s Values). Key Responsibilities (include,): Coordinating people and company resources, including safety, quality, and compliance in the area of responsibility. Ensuring the area is sufficiently manned to meet and sustain the capacity statement. Achieving targets for area of responsibility, through effective process management, planning and control of resources. Ensure fundamentals of safety, quality and compliance are clearly understood, in place, and maintained through strong standards and personal accountability. Accountable for coaching team members to deliver improvements within the area of responsibility through use of GSK Production System (eg; becoming fully trained in all 6 GSK Production System modules). Accountable for managing problem solving and performance management within zone of responsibility. Accountable for following company SOP’s, safety procedures and for highlighting abnormal events. Also managing first responses, problem solving and root-cause for the area. Accountable for ensuring effective shift handover. Escalating any problems occurring in the area that affects Product Quality, Security, Safety and other aspects of line performance. Please Note – This role will be a 2-year secondment / Fixed Term Contract opportunity or a Permanent role (To be confirmed - will be discussed at interview stage). About Ware Manufacturing Site: Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form, and the site has circa 1,500 highly motivated and capable people working at it. The Ware site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new medicines in oral and solid dose forms, as well as operating a high-volume commercial production for respiratory devices. Basic Qualifications: Relevant knowledge / experience (eg; previous manufacturing experience gained from working in a highly-regulated environment with shift working patterns. Hands-on experience in a GMP Manufacturing environment. Team-management/leadership/coaching experience. Preferred Skills: A sound understanding of GMP and solid dose manufacture. Time management/scheduling skills. Risk assessment/decision making ability. Knowledge / experience in use of production systems (including SAP ePEL, eBR, SAP, myLearning, Veeva, RF guns, and IP21). Use of MS office tools including Teams, Word and Excel. GPS (or equivalent OE/CI) basics.
