Purpose of role:
The Global Projects Operational Implementer is responsible for the planning, communicating, and execution of specific strategic and tactical projects in identified priority markets. The project objectives will always be to support the local teams to deliver best-in-class strategic planning and operational execution to drive sustainable and profitable growth across the Foodservice and Convenience sectors.
Working as part of a wider project team, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunity gaps in each market in agreement with the local team and key stakeholders. The project(s) could be strategic (e.g. Café launch / pilot / implementation, developing the local category plan, supplier assessments, supply chain planning, etc.) or tactical (e.g. implementing the safety manual across all sites, reducing waste, driving POS compliance, auditing food equipment, undertaking site training etc.).
You will have an agreed set of individual KPIs to deliver that will predominantly be based on the market growth objectives identified at the outset of the project (i.e. proceeds, margin, safety, waste, compliance, brand standards, etc.).
Your primary role will be to implement the plan in the local market, and work closely with the local team, to ensure that this is executed successfully.

Key Responsibilities
Complete the induction programme provided by both FSC and the client.
Engage and build relationships and ways of working, including running regular project calls with the clients local team and key stakeholders (both from the client and FSC)
Conduct Market Deep Dives to analyse local business opportunities or areas for improvement and to driver greater operational excellence
Create a project plan with the local team (and in collaboration with the rest of the FSC team) to execute sustainable and profitable change in the market.
Give market level support to local teams through either development of Food and Convenience strategy and execution or on demand support
Day to day support and request from local markets; guide and advise
Set up and scale convenience retail and food offer stores
Run test & learn programmes in markets based on data insight
Project planning and implementation supported by a wider project team of insights, creative design and data specialists; ensuring KPI tracking and performance is at the heart of everything we do in the local markets
Ensure brand and HSSE compliance throughout the project: act as a role model in these areas to raise standards for the local team, external partners and suppliers
Identify potential barriers to project progress and effectively mitigate them or find solutions with the wider project team to keep the project on track
Be an advocate for the client and FSC (values, standards, market/category/product extensions)
Proactively contribute to other FSC projects and share best practice & learnings with the FSC Consulting team, as well as the wider FSC business
Stringent and frugal management of personal travel and expenses budget

Skills & Behaviours:
Essential
Operational Excellence in an FMCG environment
Experience in food industry (retailer, supplier, or manufacturer) and Convenience Retail with a proven track record in product and category management
Very strong commercial mindset and business acumen. Strong appetite for growth and achieving the improbable. Dare to ask critical questions and be creative. Should prioritise driving value for both the client and FSC
Proven track record of delivery. Be end goal focused and able to inspire / coach / motivate teams to deliver and create value
Stakeholder management. Internal: Able to build and maintain a strong network, thereby working closely with the different global teams and successfully aligning behind the clients growth objective. External: Able to effectively interact with stakeholders of different seniority in country, i.e. Owner/ CEO, Management team, and be able to deliver strategic proposals and strong presentations at VP and GM levels and motivate and inspire global SMEs to support delivery. Strong networking and negotiating skills, coupled with confident and resilient ways of working.

Desirable
Technical knowledge of nutrition, food safety, audit procedures.
Good knowledge of the food supply chain and in-store processes and procedures
Create value in a B2B2C business model: Business to business to consumer. Understand how a strategy is delivered in a business-to-business context and how to create a pull by delivering value through the chain for our client + their partners + end consumer.
Strong commercial creativity and mindset. Understand how money is made and explore creative ways to find sources of value and ways to get deals done
Good presentation skills: able to communicate clearly and present critical information, coupled with excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Office Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Qualifications (academic and work-related)
Preferred
Educated to a university level standard
Ability to speak multiple languages is advantageous
Full clean driving license
PMP, Prince II, or Agile project management qualification
Food Safety Level 3 or above
