An exciting opportunity has arisen for an existing Band 5 to gain a development role within our Complex Needs Service Team or a current Band 6 wanting to further their training and education using therapeutic approaches. The development programme will culminate in promotion to Band 6 within 12 months of employment and on completion of competencies.
Your role as an SCM worker will be one element in a structured treatment package working alongside the team which comprises psychologists, mental health nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, consultant medical psychotherapists, occupational therapy assistants, and peer support workers. Your clinical responsibilities will focus on a small caseload maximum of 10.
You will receive foundational training in DBT as a minimum and also SCM training will be provided via peer support, external training, and supervision. You are not expected to apply for this role with all of the knowledge required - we will provide all training required for the right candidate to fulfil the role.
You will have a high level of supervision in line management and clinical supervision, weekly reflective practice, and protected peer-led workshop space.
Main Duties of the Job
* You will be a vital part of the patient's journey throughout the Structured Clinical Management treatment program, from assessment, stabilisation, treatment, graduation, and discharge back to their GP.

* You will work Monday to Friday 9 am - 5 pm, excluding bank holidays.
* Your maximum caseload will be 10 patients.
* You will have the opportunity to be a co-facilitator in some group work such as CNS Skills group.
* We are a supportive multidisciplinary team with a diverse skill set and for any queries that arise in your day, there is a variety of different disciplines available to access for support.
* In addition to this, you will have regular clinical supervision, weekly group reflective practice, management supervision, protected time for peer-led workshops, monthly CPD, and daily huddles.
* You will be actively encouraged to undertake training to support you in your role and your professional development. This will entail formal training and peer support/mentoring including DBT Foundational Training &/or MBT (including fortnightly workshops).
