About The Role
At enfinium Skelton Grange, we’re not just generating energy — we’re driving the UK’s transition to a low-carbon economy. As part of our maintenance team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our plant runs efficiently, safely, and reliably, keeping non-recyclable waste out of landfill and converting it into homegrown energy for communities across the UK.

We're looking for a skilled and proactive EC&I Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team at Skelton Grange. You’ll be responsible for both planned and responsive maintenance on all electrical, control, and instrumentation systems — making sure our plant operates at peak performance, every day.
Your work will directly support the safe and efficient running of a facility that diverts waste from landfill, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and generates enough electricity to power tens of thousands of homes.
What Will You Be Doing?
Here’s a snapshot of your key responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate daily EC&I maintenance activities on site.
* Assist with outage planning, scheduling, and execution.
* Lead or support investigations into safety and technical issues related to EC&I systems.
* Identify and implement improvements that enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
* Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely and in full compliance with HSE regulations.
* Supervise contractors and support the development of robust work packs using our maintenance management system.
* Continuously review spare parts and materials to ensure maximum equipment availability.
* Support the development of contingency plans for major plant failures.
What Do You Need to Bring?
Qualifications & Experience:
* ONC/HNC in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
* Experience working with EC&I systems in a power generation or heavy industrial environment.
* Strong hands-on background as a Maintenance Technician or Service Engineer.
* Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH or NEBOSH) are a plus.
Key Skills & Competencies:
* Solid technical knowledge of EC&I engineering principles.
* A methodical problem-solver who takes ownership and shows initiative.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Cool under pressure, able to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* A team player who contributes to a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
* Always operates with integrity, respect, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
