Job Title: Defence Quality Assurance Specialist

Role Overview:
This role forms an integral part of Omega's Quality Assurance function, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and customer specifications, as well as maintaining an effective Quality Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute audit schedules, accompanied by associated documentation and activities in line with the QMS
* Support quality issue investigations from inception to documented resolution, incorporating root cause analysis and preventive measures to prevent recurrence
* Promote and ensure the effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions
* Maintain QA Compliance metrics and associated targets
* Assist with external quality audits, assessments, and visits by customers and authorities
* Guarantee regular shop floor checks are conducted, reported, and any associated issues are effectively addressed
* Collaborate in the coordination and facilitation of timely responses and resolution of quality issues identified
* Support the generation of quality plans and proposals
* Participate in engineering design project reviews and auditing these projects to ensure adherence to internal QMS requirements
Requirements:
* A proven track record in Quality/Business Improvement
* Demonstrated experience working within a quality management system
* Familiarity with auditing, both internal and supporting external audits
* Knowledge of manufacturing environments and supply chain management
Salary Range: £35,000 - £41,000 per annum
