We are seeking a qualified ECE team leader to join our dedicated team at The Learning Barn in Timaru, Canterbury. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading a team of early childhood education (ECE) professionals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational programmes that support the development and learning of young children.
What you'll be doing:
1. Manage and lead a team of ECE teachers, providing guidance, support and mentorship
2. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that align with the New Zealand early childhood curriculum
3. Observe and assess children's progress, and use this information to plan and implement effective teaching strategies
4. Foster positive relationships with tamariki, whānau and the wider community
5. Ensure the centre operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation
6. Contribute to the centre's continuous improvement and professional development initiatives.
What we're looking for:
1. A recognised ECE teaching qualification and current practising certificate
2. Significant experience working in an ECE setting, with a proven track record of leading and managing a team
3. In-depth knowledge of the New Zealand early childhood curriculum and best practices in early childhood education
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
5. Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
6. A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for children.
