About The Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Department. The role focuses on providing reactive maintenance as required, supporting our Tewkesbury Production site and Distribution Depot, and carrying outplanned preventative maintenance. With a strong mechanical bias, this position demands effective problem-solving and fault-finding skills, alongside the ability to take initiative in a dynamic environment.
Summary
Days worked: Monday - Friday
Hours: Minimum of 37.5 hours, five shifts per week
Shift Times: 1345 - 2145
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance.
* Repair and test mechanical plant equipment.
* Fault-find and resolve technical issues.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance across the Tewkesbury site.
* Adhere to and adapt maintenance schedules, liaising with the Engineering Manager.
Important Note: This is a physically active role and requires manual handling.
Desired Skills
* Experience of high-speed machinery, ideally in the dairy or food production industry.
* Experience of working with automated machinery
* Strong fault finding methodology
