Principal Transport Planner Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Transport Planner to join their dynamic team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to engage effectively with clients and highway authority officers. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership ·Provide expert transport planning advice and make decisions independently with minimal support from senior staff. ·Demonstrate initiative and strong technical knowledge, seeking guidance only for complex issues. ·Deliver high-quality solutions for a variety of projects across multiple sectors. Project Management ·Independently secure and deliver small to medium-scale projects and contribute to large-scale projects with support. ·Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, meeting client expectations. Business Development ·Build and maintain strong client relationships. ·Prepare fee quotations and contribute to financial management. ·Meet invoicing targets and budget requirements. Team Management and Training ·Demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration skills. ·Support team growth through line management, mentoring, and training. ·Contribute to knowledge sharing and development within the organization. What We Are Looking For ·Minimum 5 years of experience in transport planning or a related field. ·Strong technical expertise with the ability to work independently. ·Proven project management skills, including budgeting and delivering projects on time. ·Experience in business development and client relationship management. ·Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. ·Leadership abilities, with experience in team management and mentoring. ·A proactive and adaptable approach to working on diverse projects.
