The Design & Transition Specialist Senior qualifies, designs and transitions complex Hardware and Software deals domestically and internationally. This is with a specific focus on GTS services in the presales phase (campaign, RFI, RFP etc), involving all relevant Internal Service Providers (ISPs). In addition, through understanding the required end-state, the role creates the transition approach and project plan.
The Specialist will act in a lead role for complex GTS deals and is responsible for the timely delivery of all ISPs to transition new customers or new contracts with existing customers into CC delivery teams. The role designs and transitions the various workstreams required to successfully setup the systems, process, roles and responsibilities to support and deliver our contracted requirements.
What you’ll do
Support of Sales and Service Management in the qualification stage (~10%)
1. Consults, advises and enables sales colleagues and customers to understand the capabilities and strengths of Technology Sourcing's service portfolio and the benefits it can offer.
2. Develops new services for Technology Sourcing opportunities and works in collaboration on innovation projects.
3. Proactively shares knowledge nationally and internationally to build end-to-end service design skills across the entire team.
4. Participates in proposal presentations and also presents Computacenter Technology Sourcing services to clients.
Design (~40%)
1. Assesses and qualifies complex customer opportunities and engagements.
2. Detailed analysis of the customer and technological requirements based on various tender documents.
3. Develops an efficient and consistent solution design with the objective of an end-to-end solution that fulfils all aspects of the customer requirements.
4. Proactively communicates with all relevant contacts in the bid team, including management, as well as all internal and external service providers involved.
5. Drives the involvement and collaboration of all internal departments involved and, if applicable, external service providers, including all necessary national and international cost enquiries.
6. Conducts solution reviews to obtain the necessary management approvals and be responsible for the completion of the Solution Assessment process and the timely delivery of full ratings and signoffs for the relevant Group Opportunity Governance Forum.
7. Evaluates risks and opportunities in the respective solution design incl. necessary (counter-)measures to limit the risks (risk mitigation) and document Tolerance and contingency recommendations.
8. Close co-ordination to build a Transition plan with Timeline, Milestones, Project Deliverables and associated Assumptions, Dependencies, Exclusions and Limitations.
Transition (~50%)
1. Document preparation and handover of a service design package to the Transition team (as required) in pre-sales.
2. Designs and manages delivery of complex Transition & Transformation projects bids in time, quality and budget and in compliance with CC best practice.
3. Responsible for Customer engagement, communication and governance, with associated delivery and change control responsibility and Identifies cost drivers and ways to optimise them.
4. Provides regular project reporting for internal transition meetings and workshops/appointments with the customer.
5. Project management of internal teams and subcontractors.
6. Contributes to the further development of Transition and Project management methods, standards, solutions and building blocks.
What you’ll need
1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT Services role or similar with experience of Pre-sales and bid management.
2. Experience in translating client-specific strategies and needs into a solution design.
3. High level of self-motivation, commitment and ability to work under pressure.
4. Positive Customer focus and engagement approach essential.
5. Proven track-record in building strong virtual teams to design and transition large complex hardware and software deals.
6. Strong communication, moderation and negotiation skills and experience of matrix management.
7. Develops, builds and maintains strong relationships both internally and externally.
8. Experience in project management (incl. risk and change management) with project management certification.
9. Sound knowledge of MS-365 (Office) including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical and creative thinking.
11. Good command of spoken and written native Operating Country language and English.
12. Willingness to travel.
13. Other foreign languages, useful to have basic knowledge of French or German as a second language.
14. Relevant qualification (Completed vocational education (e.g., IT specialist) or university studies (Bachelor)).
15. Prince2 Practitioner qualification, ITIL Foundation or/and equivalent.
16. MS Project.
17. Basic knowledge of logistical processes.
18. Basic technical knowledge of Workplace, Networking, Datacenter and Software.
