To support the PCN and be a key member of the senior leadership team enabling the Network to meet their agreed aims and objectives. This includes embedding the vision and leading change in a constantly changing landscape of the NHS through a supportive environment.
Operationally, the role is responsible for the smooth running of the network. Development of an effective team using competent systems, communication links to all member practices and effective networking within the local health community are key to delivering strategic planning and implementation.
Main duties of the job
Operational Management Coordination
* Oversee daily operations of the PCN, ensuring all practices and services function cohesively.
* Manage the distribution of resources, including staff, equipment, and facilities, to meet the network's needs efficiently.
Strategic Planning Goal Setting
* Collaborate with the Clinical Director to establish strategic goals and priorities.
* Develop and execute strategies to achieve these goals, including launching new initiatives and optimising existing processes.
* Continuously assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
Financial and Budget Management
* Prepare and oversee the network's budget, ensuring financial resources are used effectively.
* Generate financial reports and forecasts to track the network's financial health.
* Identify and pursue funding opportunities, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Staff Coordination and Development
* Support with the recruitment and training of healthcare professionals within the network.
* Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
* Ensure staff adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Primary Care Networks (PCNs) have been created to facilitate delivery of more integrated care. They cover defined geographical areas to enable them to better respond to the needs of local populations and build relationships across wider primary care within natural neighbourhoods. By design they are small enough for relationships to flourish, but large enough to provide a broad scope of services.

Job responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement Relationship Building
* Build and maintain relationships with GP practices, community services, local authorities, and other healthcare providers.
* Organise regular meetings and disseminate information to ensure effective communication within the network.
* Represent the PCN at meetings, forums, and events, advocating for the network's needs and priorities.
Quality Improvement and Quality Monitoring
* Continuously monitor the quality of care provided within the network.
* Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives based on data and feedback.
* Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and best practices.
Patient Engagement and Strategy Development
* Develop strategies to involve patients in the planning and improvement of services.
* Collect and analyse patient feedback to inform service delivery.
* Promote patient education and self-care initiatives to improve health outcomes and satisfaction.
Data Management and Reporting
* Oversee the collection and analysis of data related to the network's operations, performance, and patient outcomes.
* Prepare reports when required on the network's activities and strategic initiatives for stakeholders and governing bodies.
* Use data to support decision-making processes and guide policy and strategy development.
Health & Safety
* Ensure adherence to statutory health and safety requirements.
* Ensure best practice processes for infection control and correct use of standard operating procedures for cleaning and infection control.
